Can anyone be hypnotised?
All people who can concentrate can achieve hypnotic trance. Willingness and motivation have a great influence over how easily someone is hypnotised. Stronger minded and stronger willed people are easier to hypnotise – not the other way round as is often assumed. You cannot be hypnotised against your will and you will not divulge information against your will. Hypnotherapy can help children over the age of seven and a parent must be present throughout their therapy. Between fourteen and sixteen, a child can choose to be treated without a parent being present, but parental consent is still required.
Can you get stuck in hypnosis?
No! You may briefly fall asleep and then wake up normally, or open your eyes if you have not heard the therapist’s voice for a while. Some people do not want to come out of hypnosis because they enjoy the feeling or they can’t be bothered to open their eyes. Since hypnosis is a natural state, it is just like coming out of a daydream.
Do you offer a guarantee of success?
It would be unethical to guarantee 100% success, as it’s impossible to predict human behaviour. We will however guarantee to help you achieve your goal.
Where does the name Kallisti come from?
‘Kallisti’ comes from the Greek myth of how the Trojan War started. It was written on the Golden Apple of Discord, which has become a euphemism for a small matter than can lead to a bigger problem. Through my experience of hypnotherapy, I have found that some problems are caused by small incidents, which may have seemed insignificant at the time.
